Best Saalt period underwear: which style should you buy?

By Linkcallan Editorial · Updated Oct 6, 2026
THE QUICK ANSWER

For fuller coverage without a shorts shape, start with the Seamless Brief. Prefer low-rise underwear? Choose the Seamless Bikini. For a shorts cut, look at the Comfort CloudShort. Pick the cut first, then the absorbency and size.

Which Saalt style fits your routine?

StyleChoose it forConsider another cut if…Absorbency options listed
Seamless BriefA mid-rise waist and full coverage without shorts legsYou prefer a lower waistbandRegular, Heavy, Super
Seamless BikiniA low-rise waist and less coverageYou want fuller front coverage; start with BriefRegular, Super
Comfort CloudShortA shorts shape and the fullest coverage of these threeYou do not like short legs under your clothesHeavy, Super

These are the options on Saalt’s product pages when checked; not every size and color will necessarily be available. For fabric and fit differences, see our Bikini, Brief and CloudShort comparison.

Which absorbency should you start with?

Saalt groups its underwear into Light, Regular, Heavy and Super. Its Zero range has no leakproof lining, so skip that range if you are shopping for period protection.

Backup to a cup, disc or tamponLight or Regular
Regular period flowRegular
Heavier days or overnight useHeavy or Super

Treat these as the brand’s starting categories, not a promise of a set number of hours. Try your first pair on a day when changing is easy, then use that experience to plan your routine. The three styles above do not all offer every absorbency level.

Get the size right before ordering

Measure your waist and hips, then use the Saalt size chart. If a bikini usually feels too skimpy, choose the Brief rather than buying a bigger Bikini to gain coverage. A larger size changes fit; a different cut changes the shape.

The Seamless collection and Comfort collection also have different fit advice. Carry the style name—not just your usual underwear size—through to the checkout.

How many pairs should you buy?

For a first order, buy one pair to learn whether the fit and care routine work for you. For repeat orders, plan around how often you change, wash and air-dry your underwear. A pair that is still drying is not available for the next change.

You do not need a different cut for every day of your period. If a Brief fits well, for example, you can consider another absorbency in that cut. Our care and buying guide explains washing and the first-pair return terms.

What if your preferred option is unavailable?

Keep the cut, size and absorbency you need together. If only the color is unavailable, another color may solve it. If your size or absorbency is missing, wait or choose another suitable style; do not size up just to get a sale pair.

Ready to choose your pair?

Browse Saalt’s store, find your chosen style, then select the absorbency and size. Check the final price and availability before ordering.
