For an Android wallet tracker, choose SmartCard Gen 3: KeySmart explicitly lists support for Google Find Hub as well as Apple Find My. For a key organizer used with an iPhone, iPro is an option listed for Apple's network. Buy by the exact model and generation; these claims do not establish compatibility for an older SmartCard or every KeySmart product.
Separate the product from the network
The current iPro listing describes pairing with Apple Find My on an iPhone or iPad. It does not establish Google Find Hub support, so we would not buy iPro for an Android tracking setup. The SmartCard Gen 3 listing explicitly supports either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. Its instructions explain setup for both services.
| What you want | Our recommendation |
|---|---|
| A key organizer for an Apple Find My setup | Consider iPro; the current listing identifies Apple's network |
| A wallet tracker for an Android phone | Choose SmartCard Gen 3 with Google Find Hub support stated on the listing |
| A gift for someone whose phone you do not know | Find out their phone ecosystem before ordering |
| One purchase to use after a planned phone change | Confirm the precise version supports the destination network before paying |
Switching phones is not always just signing in
SmartCard's instructions distinguish changing phones within a network from moving between Apple and Google. For an ecosystem change, they describe removing the device from its current service and potentially resetting it before pairing with the other one. Do not assume that support for both services means simultaneous registration on both.
Our practical recommendation is to make the change while you still have access to the old phone and account. Set aside the tracker, its instructions, and the new phone together. Finish the pairing process and confirm the item appears under the intended account before relying on it to help find your belongings.
If you cannot identify your version, send KeySmart the product name and order details rather than trying a series of reset sequences copied from different models.

A useful pre-purchase check
For the black versions checked here, the manufacturer's identifiers are KS431-BLK-V3 for iPro and KS500-V3-BLK for SmartCard Gen 3. Use these to distinguish the current listings from similarly named stock; another color may have another code. A seller's vague “SmartCard” title is not enough to confirm the generation.
Save three things from the listing: the complete model name, the compatible finding service, and the matching instruction page. If they disagree, stop the order and ask the seller which hardware version you will receive.
For a gift, explain which app the recipient will use. “It works with phones” is too vague to prevent an avoidable return. For your own purchase, decide whether you actually want a wallet card or a key organizer before comparing extra features.
Should you replace a tracker that already works?
Not just because a newer model supports another network. If your current tracker works with your phone and suits what you carry, compatibility alone gives you no new problem to solve.
